Why can't I get to sleep?

Coughing, medicated and wide awake. Have tried lying in bed, drinking lots of water and taking a hot bath. I am always tired but never sleepy. The power went out tonite for about 30 minutes. Lit candles, walked around with headlamp on; called police, called SCE, nobody knew what happened. Sick as usual, roommate came home from Florida a couple weeks ago with a nasty cough which I have regrettably acquired. Thus, I created this page as a way to pass the time while waiting for exhaustion to overtake me. Unisom on board and doing little if anything as usual. Of course once I do fall asleep it will be impossible to wake me, which would be great if staying asleep were the problem. So not surprisingly, my first post is a gripe, and I am sure it will not be the last...
